MFI carefully selects all the material used in each product, ensuring consistency, quality and a premium finish. A comprehensive Quality Assurance program is in place at the factory whose primary objective is to make certain that their products meet all the high standards set for their furniture.
Their beds are constructed of 100% kiln dried hardwood. This ensures strength and longevity. The tropical hardwoods used in the beds are indigenous to Indonesia. Tropical mahogany has a tight grain and is similar to American Cherry, varying in reds and browns in its natural state and is used in the majority of their products. Mindi is similar to American Oak and is used in the Santa Barbara and Nevis Collections.

Truck Delivery (Free!):
- Delivery to: The delivery truck will park in front of your home, and you are responsible for receiving the product from the truck. If you are ordering a large item, please note that you may need a couple of people to help unload it and carry it inside.
- Assembly Service: None
- Packaging: The product will be left in the original packaging.
- Most truck delivery companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you your tracking information, you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.

We recently moved and decided to upgrade to a king size bed. We were looking for a solid wood platform bed to use with a king size foam mattress. We saw beds in furniture stores and other sites online that were solid wood but way out of our price range. However, I then found this bed which is solid wood and under [$]! It arrived in perfect condition and the cordovan stain color is beautiful. It goes great with our light green walls and cherry finish floors.My husband and I assembled it in about 2 hours. The only problem with the bed is that not all of the holes for the slats lined up, so we had to make new ones which was a minor pain.Aside from that, the bed is exactly what we were looking for. It is sturdy, low profile, solid wood, and looks great!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've wanted this bed in king size for the last several years (I had been admiring it in stores and online) and finally bought myself one in queen size when I got divorced. I put the entire thing together in a few hours by myself. It seems solid as a rock and it supportive no mater where I sleep on in, and my 2-year-old son bounces on it like crazy behind my back and I'm not afraid of him breaking it. I'm confident I'll be able to have it moved pretty easily when I move into a new house soon. It is gorgeous up close, and the reddish-brown wood coordinates nicely with my new girly-pink bedding. It is a good height off the floor (I'm short at 5'3") with storage space underneath. I've never owned a platform bed before but LOVE not having the bulk and waste of a box spring. I won't be able to use a bedskirt with it, but it's so pretty, I don't need one. Very happy with the price- I researched in detail and this was by far the best for the exact same product.

I bought this bed in double size for me and liked it so much I bought two more, both doubles, for my bed and breakfast. After setting up three of them, I learned how to avoid the issues others commented on such as: the holes not lining up. If you don't tighten up the side rails until after you attach the slats, you can adjust it so the holes line up perfectly. All you need is a screwdriver. Securing every other slat gives it plenty of stability.

I recently purchased the bed about 3 weeks ago and am very happy with what I got, especially for the price. Thank goodness I had a friend over to help me assemble it (go girl power), which took about an hour; and the instructions are not all that clear (I needed my drill to make a hole where one should have existed but didn’t). I am very satisfied with the bed it looks great and is very comfy, and though I’ve read other reviews that said the bed squeaks, I haven’t come across that problem at all and I’m a big girl, and my “beau” is pretty hefty dude too and still no squeaks. If that bed can contain both our weight simultaneously without a squeak, buy it, buy it, buy it!
