Great Starter Bed for a Student and for living in an apartment. BIG plus was the price and if you move a lot, it's fairly easy to disassemble and reassemble.
The package was very heavy so being strong helps. Using a power drill is pretty much required, otherwise it would've been a heavy task.

I gave a 4 stars for three reasons

1. Even with the mattress on it, I can still see the corners of the ply-board base which doesn't match the outside color. Not a big deal

2. Handle moving the Bed with care! Plyboard and a heavy bed being held by a couple nails....must disassemble before moving otherwise it will fall apart..especially if you lift it by the edge.

3. Requires strength, a fairly handy person and a power drill ..otherwise it would require GETTING HELP!

This frame was so cheap I kept searching around to find bad reviews...and I really could not find any that could turn me away from this frame.[...]was easy to put together! A few parts were tricky and required an extra set of hands, but anything thats too easy to assemble usually doesn't last long! Frame feels very sturdy and looks great. Was not missing any parts and there we not scratches in the finish. Couldn't ask for more!

I have it as my bed in my apartment and it fits in my room very well. It's durable and comfortable but unfortunately it's too big for my mattress. but other than that great buy!

The weight limit was not posted, we had to research many reviews to find an answer posted on the southshore Q&A website. We found the bed to be too flat. If you have a memory foam mattress without a boxspring, a platform may not been right for you.

Delivery was prompt. The delivery company forgot to post a note on my door that it had been put in the back. I checked tracking an saw it had been delivered, but the company left it in the rain at the back of my residence uncovered. I had to rush to get the 128lb package inside. I called and reported the incident. Thankfully the product was not damaged.

This bed is comprised of substantial materials, simple in design, sturdy when assembled, and easy enough to put together.

I put this bed together (alone) in about 2 hours with a hammer and screwdriver. Instructions are very sparse. . My suggestions: 1) study the picture 2) set up in the room where it will be used 3) make room around assembly area 4) lay out all the top boards BEFORE attaching them 5) as another reviewer states: use wood glue (no screws) and clamps (until dry) to attach the 3 molding pieces (last step). A power drill would speed up the assembly process considerably....

I did a lot of research before buying and am very happy with the product and cost. Pretty much what I expected: Not an heirloom piece, but definitely a good buy.

I needed a new bed, saw this one and I loved it. Set up looks just as good as on the website. It doesn't seem very durable when you unpack it, but once it is put together it is very nice: it does not squeak and it offers good support. The assembly instructions were a little hard to read (print was a little small), but it is very simple to assemble with only 6 steps - I did it alone and it took me about an hour to 90minutes. Overall a great bed and a great value. Looks much more expensive. Word of advice - read the assembly instructions first, then put the bed together. Its very little to read and it helps a lot.

The bed has a great look, much more expensive looking than the actual sales price. The assembly instructions could have been a little more detailed. One suggestion, use wood glue to attach the three pieces of trim, then clamp until the glue is dry. The glue makes a stronger bond and much easier than trying to use screws to attach. I am very pleased with the bed.
